Our Mission

The mission of the Bio-Medical Library is to enhance the teaching, research, and service activities of the University of Minnesota and to support the University of Minnesota Academic Health Center in its quest to improve health, by facilitating timely access to information needed by library clients on campus, throughout Minnesota, and nationwide.

The values on which our mission is based include:

  • Service - The Library staff provides the best possible service to all clients in a timely, accurate and complete manner.

  • Innovation - The Library staff continually employs creative approaches in services and resources, utilizing new technologies and information formats.

  • Teamwork - The Library staff works together as a team to achieve each individual's highest potential for service and innovation.

  • Leadership - The Library staff shares its expertise in the use of information and information technology.
