Learn how to use Google's Blogger tool to create and manage a blog. We will discuss the difference between a blog and a wiki, why you would want to create a blog, and go through the process of creating and editing a blog.

RefWorks is a Web-based bibliographic management service that allows students, faculty, and staff to create personal databases of references. RefWorks allows you to import directly from databases and formats papers in various citation styles.
Topics covered include: Setting up an account, direct exporting, searching MNCAT/PubMed directly, saving citations and importing, and an introduction to working with MS Word and creating bibliographies.

This class will review the standard structure of a scientific research paper. We will discuss each of the basic components of a research paper; Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion (IMRAD), pointing to common mistakes that can be made in writing the different components.
