Ovid Auto Alert Service Discontinuation Instructions

  1. If you had your AutoAlert/Current Awareness Service set up by the Science/Engineering Library staff at Walter Library, click here

  2. If you are no longer a current University of Minnesota student, staff or faculty and your University Internet ID and password has expired, click here

  3. If you have an active/current University Internet ID and password - because the Ovid update search was most likely set up using your Ovid account, only you can delete this saved search. Here are the steps for how to delete your AutoAlert, so that you will no longer receive these email updates:

    1. Start at the Bio-Medical Library homepage http://www.biomed.lib.umn.edu
    2. Choose Ovid MEDLINE and click log-in [if off campus, log-in with your U of M Internet ID and password]
    3. From the database list, chose the database that is producing the AutoAlert.
    4. Log into your "Personal Account."
    5. Click on the "Saved Searches" button which is located just above "Personal Account."
    6. On the next page, you will see a box that says "AutoAlert (SDI) Searches".
    7. Check the box of the search(es) you want to stop getting email alerts for and then click on the "Delete Search" button.
    8. Now log out. Your AutoAlert should now be discontinued.
