Study: Botulism toxin eases stroke spasms

Botulism toxin can ease muscle spasms and pain in stroke patients. The injections of botulinum toxin type A is more effective than oral drugs that are used to treat muscle spasms. The oral drugs frequently cause too much muscle relaxation that leaves patients unable to sit or walk.
