Study: birth control pill cuts risk of some ills

Findings of a study involving 162,000 participants showed that women on birth control pills had a lower risk of heart disease, stroke, and no increased risk of cancer. However, women taking birth control pills after menopause were more likely to have heart disease or certain cancers.
