Services for Visitors and Patients
Reference Assistance
- Basic reference assistance is available in-person at the Reference desk on the 2nd floor of the library during regular business hours or by phone (612) 626-3260.
- Requests for more in-depth reference help will be directed to InfoNOW, a fee-based service which provides research services, document delivery, and access to library-sponsored classes.
Borrowing Privileges
- Individuals not affiliated with the University are welcome to use library materials on-site. Those who wish to borrow materials will need a valid borrowing card. There are several ways to obtain a borrowing card; an overview is provided at the Unaffiliated Borrowing Options page.
Article Indexes and Digital Resources
- Individuals not affiliated with the University are welcome to use digital resources on-site. Everyone is welcome to browse for library holdings in our catalog, MNCAT.
- The University Libraries maintains a list of freely-available online resources.
Photocopying and Printing
- Individuals not affiliated with the University may make printouts from online resources, software programs or the Internet for a fee. See our Copy Services page for more information.
